2027 Fair Queen Application
Greetings!
The Guthrie County Fair Board is searching for their 2027 Guthrie County Fair Queen. Each year, we are proud to host the tradition that highlights the beauty, personality, leadership, communication skills, and community service involvement of young women in our county. Applicants are encouraged to be involved in a community organization, such as 4-H, FFA, girl scouts, church group, etc. Applicants are not limited to 4-H and FFA membership.
The young lady chosen to wear this crown will not only have the privilege of representing Guthrie County at the Iowa State Fair Queen competition, but will also be awarded a $600 scholarship prize from the Guthrie County Fair Board at the conclusion of her reign.
The competition is open to young ladies between the ages of 16 and not older than 21 years of age on August 12th, the first day of the 2027 Iowa State Fair. The candidate must reside within Guthrie County (or an adjoining county if the majority of her activities are within Guthrie County). Contestants must never have been married or have had children.
Please see the application request form. The deadline to submit an application is July 13, 2026. Applications will be sent to candidates after receiving their request.
